The village of Lagundo is also known as the garden village: Vineyards, orchards and forests surround the town and make it a popular recreation area. Take the chair and basket lift up to lofty heights, visit the Trauttmansdorff Throne Chair or the Lagundo Dairy. Merano and its sights are only a few minutes away and can be reached by public transport. Stroll along the Passirio promenade or shop in the lovely boutiques of the city.
Leisurely walks and a variety of hiking trails are waiting for you around Lagundo. Follow the rippling watercourses along the "Algunder Waalweg" and further along the "Tappeinerweg" to Merano, or learn about nature on the "Walderlebnispfad" (forest adventure trail). The well-known European long-distance hiking trail E5 can also be reached from here.
The Cima Monte Rosso, the Picco di Tessa, the Cigot: The peaks of the Gruppo del Tessa are extremely popular amongst mountaineers - just like the Merano High Altitude Trail with its total stretch of 100 km. However, the heart of the nature park are the crystal clear Lakes of Sopran. If you are looking for a special challenge, put on your mountain boots and start your hike directly from our house.
Cycling along the old Roman road parallel to the Adige to Trento or up to alpine pastures and back down at full speed: South Tyrol is a paradise for road cyclists, mountain bikers and recreational cyclists. You can also explore the surroundings with an e-bike. Charge your bike in our underground garage and safely keep it in our secured bike storage room.

Merano 2000, the closest skiing area, can be reached by car in just a few minutes. Whizz down a total of 40 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes or the natural toboggan run, show off your stunts in the snow park or glide along on the cross-country ski trail. Within a drive of an hour from the Apartsuites Rosengarten you can reach almost all the other skiing areas in South Tyrol. You can also explore the snowy landscape in the surrounding area with your backcountry skis or simply follow the hiking trails.
Only 12 km away from us, below the Brandis castle ruins, you will find the Lana Golf Club. The 9-hole course was designed by the renowned designer Michael Pinner and offers a wonderful view of the Adige Valley. Golfers of all ages, from beginners to professionals, will experience exciting games right there. In South Tyrol there are also other golf courses with individual special features, which you can usually reach within an hour by car.
